The Pietranera 2016 Magnum is a delicious wine produced from Zibibbo grapes from the warm lands of the island of Pantelleria and falls into the category of Terre Siciliane IGT. It can be considered a renewed version of the classic local productions, a Zibibbo with a complex charisma and full of aromatic notes.
The Pietranera 2016 Magnum is the result of a scrupulous harvest at the beginning of September from small Pantelleria trees cultivated on a volcanic and terraced soil. After careful selection of the grapes and an initial pressing, the cold maceration process begins for about 24 hours.
Fermentation at controlled temperature takes place in steel tanks, followed by a period of refinement of at least six months. The wine from the De Bartoli winery has a classic straw yellow appearance, a nose full of citrus and floral scents and a palate that gives the taster an unexpected freshness with a slight bitter aftertaste.
