Chardonnay 2022

A label that successfully encapsulates the production style of the Planeta winery, the Chardonnay white is a classic Sicilian white wine that, with extreme elegance, restores the qualities of terroir in an elaborate, soft and satisfying sip. The light gold colour it displays to the eye reveals a promising contrast between transparency and depth; cereal and toasted aromas mingle on a mineral background, anticipating the sensations on the palate. Hints of ripe yellow peaches, acacia honey and almond paste settle in with perceptible roundness.  Thanks to its qualities, Planeta Chardonnay is the right wine to accompany dishes such as risottos, main courses of white meat, fish and smoked meat. When aged, it is also excellent with blue cheeses.  Matured in 225 litre Allier oak barriques, half new and half second and third passage, Planeta Chardonnay can be drunk immediately, but also after 8-10 years. With this wine, particularly appreciated by consumers, Planeta has shown that it is capable of competing with the rest of the world in the production of Chardonnay.
