The Brut Rosé is a Lungarotti signature sparkling wine that shows at first glance an onion-skin colour, clear and brilliant; its perlage has a very fine and persistent grain. The bouquet, persuasive and fragrant, recalls bread crust, wisteria and rose, a delicate hazelnut and a hint of menthol, with a slightly citrus finish. A slight mineral touch on the palate reveals a vibrant freshness and a distinct almondy timbre.
The Brut Rosé Lungarotti is made from Pinot Grigio and Sangiovese grapes grown in the terroir of Torgiano and trained on the spurred cordon system, then harvested between late August and early September. Following the Metodo Classico sparkling wine-making rules, the production cycle is set over a medium-long period, through the following steps: frothing for nine months and remuage by hand on pupitres for forty-five days. The wine then remains in the tip for one month before disgorgement and then two months before marketing.
The Brut Rosé sparkling wine is joyful and pleasantly rounded; rich in pink bubbles, it is suitable for a topical aperitif and to continue throughout a meal, perhaps with smoked salmon, beef carpaccio, fois gras, sushi, sashimi and tempura.
