Lu Patri 2019

Lu Patri is the Nero d'Avola of Baglio del Cristo di Campobello, a round wine of great depth, which can superlatively enhance the flavour of grilled meat, chicken with peppers, and game.

A red wine with a territorial character, Lu Patri was born in a context of excellence for the production of indigenous grapes: 100% Nero d'Avola, the vines reside at an altitude of about 250 metres above sea level, in hilly soils mixed with limestone and chalk. We are in an area of six hectares, where the contribution of the terroir is added to that of the hands of the vine-dressers, moved by passion and historical experience.

The result is a wine with remarkable ageing capacity, complex and enveloping. The colour is a wonderful impenetrable ruby red. Lu Patri is particularly aromatic on the nose, with balsamic notes, herbs and hints of fruit, especially blackberry and sour cherry; in the mouth it stands out for its good savouriness and a taste persistence like few others.

Lu Patri di Baglio del Cristo di Campobello is an elegant and high-profile Sicilia DOC. A serving temperature of between 18 and 20 °C is recommended.
