Cantina Elvio Cogno produces the main wines of the Langhe. The company owns about fifteen hectares of vineyards in Novello, one of the eleven municipalities in the province of Cuneo where the production of Barolo DOCG is permitted.

Ravera is the best known cru, or vineyard area, of Novello. It is recognised for producing wines that can withstand the passage of time while maintaining their aromas and freshness intact.

Elvio Cogno has proceeded to manage the vineyards with this mentality, emphasising the idea that true progress in the field of oenology coincides with organic farming and practices, believing that methods and interventions must be practised with full respect for the environment, man and workers.
