Marsala superiore riserva 10 anni

The Marsala Superiore Riserva 10 years Magnum is a fortified wine made in the Contrada Samperi, in the Marsala area. A liqueur wine designed with respect for the ancient traditions of the De Bartoli family. Emotions of a bygone era to be discovered and tasted always respecting the environment, without distorting the value of what can express one of the most famous grape varieties of Sicily: Grillo.

The bunches of grapes grow on calcareous-sandy soil with sapling and Guyot counter-espalier plants with a yield of 25 hectolitres per hectare. Harvesting takes place in the first weeks of September, followed by the soft pressing of the berries and natural sedimentation. Then the fermentation process starts in oak and chestnut barrels at room temperature and finally an aging of over 10 years in oak barrels.

The wine shows a bright, golden yellow with subtle amber reflections. The nose is filled with hints of fruit, walnuts, citrus fruits and toasted almonds. On the palate the Marsala Superiore Riserva 10 years is warm and enveloping, confirms the fruity aromas and reveals its complex structure. A magnum version to be enjoyed with desserts and blue cheese.
