In the vineyard located in the Bukkuram district the roots of Zibibbo date back more than thirty years. Cultivated with the Pantelleria sapling technique, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the grapes are harvested between August and September, and some of them are left to dry in the sun for about two weeks (hence 'August Sun'). Fermentation takes place on indigenous yeasts and, after a meticulous process, it is time for the wine to refine. This takes place first in casks, then in steel tanks and finally in the bottle.
Bukkuram Sole d'Agosto De Bartoli is a passito of Pantelleria whose characteristics become the strong and singular expression of a unique territory in the world. It is a fresh, aromatic and fruity wine, to be paired with fruit, sweets and dark chocolate at its ideal serving temperature between 12 and 16 degrees.
