Bukkuram Padre Della Vigna

Bukkuram, in Arabic 'father of the vineyard', is the area of Pantelleria that fascinated the De Bartoli company so much that it built a new winery and acquired vineyards for 5 hectares. There, in the place of excellence for the cultivation of Zibibbo, the first bottle of Bukkuram was born in 1984.
Part of the grapes, cultivated with the Pantelleria sapling technique, a unique practice in the world, are harvested during the second week of August and left to dry in the sun for three weeks. The rest of the grapes remain on the plant until the first week of September. The dried grapes are added to the wine several times during fermentation and left to macerate for about three months in order to reach the optimal balance between the alcoholic part and the residual sugar. The maturation of Bukkuram Padre Della Vigna takes place in French oak barriques for more than thirty months and for six months in steel tanks.
The result is a superior passito, a sweet dessert wine ideal at the end of a meal together with desserts or dark chocolate, served at a temperature ranging from 12 to 16 degrees.
