The number one bottle of Bukkuram dates back to 1984 and this 2014 vintage still retains all the original charm and aromas. Zibibbo grapes are cultivated with Pantelleria sapling, an agricultural technique declared World Heritage Site that is only practiced on the island of Pantelleria.
Harvesting takes place in two phases, the first in August for the part destined for drying and the second at the beginning of September for the more mature grapes. And if the work in the cellar is long, the aging exceeds all expectations: Bukkuram Padre Della Vigna ages in French oak barriques for over two and a half years and for another six months in steel tanks.
We can taste this passito sopraffine in combination with various desserts and get the best of its aromas from the combination with dark chocolate. Serve at a temperature between 12 and 16 °C.
