More info

Charm and unmistakable aromas of a unique Passito di Pantelleria DOC. The Bukkuram Padre della Vigna 2012 is a dessert wine produced from Zibibbo grapes alone on the island of Pantelleria. The Passito is born on a hilly-terraced and volcanic soil, from small trees of Pantelleria with a manual harvest that takes place in the last weeks of August.

The vinification takes place by drying the grapes, partly in the sun for at least four weeks in appropriate drying racks, the remaining ripen on the plant until September. Fermentation involves the union of the two grapes and a period of maceration that can exceed three months. After reaching the right balance between the alcohol component and residual sugar, ageing begins for 42 months in French oak barrels and for 6 months in steel tanks.

An amber-coloured wine with an olfactory bouquet rich in Mediterranean scents, capers, green olives, ripe apple and classic aromas such as caramel, honey and cocoa. A dense and enveloping taste also recognized by the Essential Guide to Wines of Italy 2019 with a score of 94/100.
